Judith Rochfeld is a Private Law Professor (« Classe exceptionnelle »), at Sorbonne Law School, Paris 1 University, Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her fields of research are Private Law (Contract Law, Tort Law, Property Law), Consumer Law, e-Commerce Law. Since 2007, she is the Director of the Master in « E-Commerce Law and Digital Economics ». Since 2012, she is the co-Head of Sorbonne Research Law Institute (Institut de Recherche Juridique de la Sorbonne), a network of 11 Departments in Private and Public Law. She is involved in a number of European research networks (eg Research Group in European existing private Law, involved in the redaction of Principles of European Contract Law, 6e PCRD and integrated into the Draft Common Frame of Reference) and has co-founded in 2009 Trans Europe Experts, a European Network of legal experts, for European and national institutions. She was a member of PROPICE research group, from 2010 to 2015 on Intellectual Property and Commons and has written numerous articles on Commons.
